Board of Directors: Christopher Beck PAST PRESIDENT Christopher Beck, Deputy Anoka County Sheriff's Department 325 East Main Street Anoka, MN 55303 Mobile: 651/983-3251 Cbeck@sotamidwest.org Chris has been employed as a patrol deputy with the Anoka County Sheriff's Office since January 1997. In addition to working the road, Chris has been a Field Training Officer, Use of Force Instructor and a School Resource Officer. In 2005 he was the recipient of the James Trudeau Law Enforcement Award, given for his involvement with the local youth. Chris became a member of the Anoka County SWAT team in the summer of 1998. He has worked in a variety of positions since becoming a team member: operator, breecher and recently has accepted the position of the tactical intelligence officer for the team. Chris joined the SOTA board in 2008 and held the position of secretary, treasurer, vice president and president. Chris holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Minnesota in Speech/communication and his Law Enforcement Certificate from Metropolitan State University. Chris has a son and daughter.
